Now is a great time to plant strawberries for years of succulent berries right from your backyard. Strawberries for the home garden fall into two broad categories, June Bearing, which tend to produce one large crop early in the season, and Day Neutral, which tend to produce a smaller amount of ripe berries throughout the season with slight peaks early and late. June bearing are often bigger and good for getting large amounts for making jams and preserving while Day Neutrals are often smaller and more flavorful. If you have space plant a mix to cover all your bases.
We have six varieties to choose from, all of which are well suited to our climate.
